Seyyed Asadollah Athari

Seyed Asadollah Athari is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies. He is also a faculty member at the Department of Law and Political Science, Islamic Azad University, Takestan Branch. Dr. Athari's research interests include Middle East issues, Turkey studies, and defense diplomacy.

He has published articles and books in English and in Farsi and participated in numerous international conferences. His latest publications include, "The Philadelphia System: Sovereignty, Arms Control and Balance of power in the U.S. 1787- 1861", Translating the Article into Farsi from English, Regional Studies Quarterly (spring 2004);" Peaceful Approach Dream to Change Regimes in the Region", The Middle East Studies Quarterly (Summer 2003); "The Historical Roots of Relations Between Iran and Turkey", The Middle East Studies Quarterly (Summer and Fall 2006).
