Saeed Attar

Saeed Attar is a visiting research fellow at the Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies. He is also a Ph.D. student of Political Science in Tehran University. Mr. Attar's research interests include Iran and great powers studies and the Middle East issues.

He has published several articles in Persian. His latest publications include, "Social Capital, Civil Society and Government: Elements of Progress", Politics Quarterly (2009); "The Concept of Social Capital in Development Theories: Modernization Theory, Dependency Theory, World Systems theory", Parliament and Research Quarterly (2009); "Pierre Bourdieu: from  Social Atmosphere  to Social Capital", Political & Economic Ettelaat Monthly (2008).
